Sandy Cay: MSC Group’s Latest Luxury Island Destination

Located near Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the new luxury retreat on Sandy Cay is the latest addition to the Group’s growing collection of private island destinations available to guests of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.

Intended to complement Ocean Cay and its definitive ethos, the resort was conceptualized as a more secluded destination – connecting guests with the island’s natural environment and the rhythms of the surrounding ocean.

Named after the immaculately bright aragonite sands and crystal-clear Bahamian waters, Sandy Cay was designed to highlight the island’s serene character and beauty, giving guests an elevated experience centred on peace, discovery and immersion.

Planned Enhancements for Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

The unveiling of Sandy Cay follows the announcement of plans to elevate the guest offering at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. These upgrades will include new beach concepts for families and adults, expanded relaxation areas, additional dining venues and novel opportunities for guests to engage in immersive marine conservation experiences.

As MSC Group elevates its private island destinations, these developments reflect the company’s mission to continuously evolve its offerings in line with guest expectations — while preserving and honoring the beauty and coastal wildlife of The Bahamas.

MSC Group’s Commitment to Excellence at Sea and on Land

The introduction of Sandy Cay and enhancements planned for Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve serve to further enrich the experiences available to guests of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys. Together, these destinations highlight MSC Group’s ongoing investment in creating meaningful travel experiences that combine comfort, exploration and a strong commitment to preserving the natural beauty of The Bahamas.
