Established in Abidjan in June of 2024, Yiri has quickly become known as a reliable partner in the African innovation space. The first edition of its Accelerate programme launched in November 2024 welcoming four African startups, each of which received customized support, specialized training and access to a network of over 32 companies, institutions and investors.
Additionally, the participating startups were able to benefit from opportunities for pilot projects within AGL Group that led to tangible results, including:
Yiri’s new partnership with Digital Africa builds on the momentum of the Accelerate programme's early success. Digital Africa has a strong record of backing high-potential African entrepreneurs via personalized technical support and financing through the Fuzé programme.
Now, the second, more ambitious edition of the Accelerate will see the two organizations extend the programme to both West and East Africa, with two innovation challenges slated for Côte d’Ivoire and Rwanda. These challenges will consist of ten selected startups that the programme will support and potentially co-invest in.
This partnership marks a significant new chapter in AGL’s ongoing pursuit to drive transformation across Africa. By joining forces with Digital Africa, AGL seeks to accelerate the emergence of local solutions capable of addressing Africa’s logistics and industrial challenges while bolstering the continent’s position as an emerging global hub for technology and innovation.
Reflecting on their shared goal, Stéphane Collet-Manent, CIO of AGL, remarked: “This partnership with Digital Africa allows us to take a step forward in our mission to support African startups. Together, we want to bring out concrete solutions, adapted to local realities, and thus contribute to the sustainable transformation of the continent.”
