About WEC Lines

WEC Lines is a medium-sized container shipping line with intermodal connections. Headquartered in Rotterdam, the company also has branches e.g., Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Nantes, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kampala, as well as a large worldwide agent network, including joint ventures in Lisbon, Casablanca, and Cairo.

+50 Years of Experience

WEC Lines was one of the front-runners containerizing coffee and tea from East Africa. Today, for over five decades, WEC Lines has been connecting Northeast Africa, the Red Sea, and Southern Europe to Northwestern Europe, with highly frequent, environmentally friendly services.  Its shipping solutions focus on Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain (incl. Canary Islands), Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, Djibouti, and Uganda. WEC Lines has a personal approach and is easy to do business with.

Continuous Optimization

Working towards a net-zero transport network and continuously optimizing its services, WEC Lines avoids road transport whenever possible, relying on rail and barge services for inland connections instead. For instance, with multiple departures per week, WEC Lines connects Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Zaragoza, and Agoncillo (La Rioja) directly via rail with three dedicated block trains to ports such as Liverpool, Thamesport, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Montoir.
